fridays minor games

\

It was last Friday afternoon when we had our first real minor games. Every one lined up at there house place and started off by marching and saying there chant all the way to the grass outside the hall. Then we were sent to our games. We started off with hash cricket which is when we have two teams and one teams batting and one teams fielding and you have to keep bowling to get the other team out. You have three bats and you get them out by bowling them, catching them or when they have no bats left. The way they loose there bats is when they get out. Once they have three outs the reef says sideway and you change places. The second game we played was scatter ball. Scatter ball is when you have to throw three balls then run around the cones. The third game we played was danish rounders which is basically like softball but you have a padder tennis bat and a tennis ball. The last game we played was long ball thats a bit like softball but you have a different bat again. At the end of all the games we added up all the scores and mangapiko ended up winning waipa came fourth which is the team I’m in. Waikato came second and puniu came third. At the end of the day every one was exhausted and we got to go home.

February 20, 2008. minor games.
