My Goals For term 1 and 2 08
Academic
I will use more descriptive writing
I will do this by looking up a thesaurus and seeing what other word sounds better.
I will get better at maths
I will do this by working harder and marking every exercise when I do it to make sure I’m getting it right
Personal:
I will get better at dancing I will do this by stretching and practising all my moves.
I will get better at tennis
I will do this by practising hitting the ball and practising my serves
I will get better at netball
I will do this by practising passes and practising goals.
My First Poetic Writing
Pushing aside the leaves of the forest door I wonder what’s going on behind the leafy curtains, bloods rushing through my veins as I head for the big old wonder oak. I have finished my jobs for the day and was now sitting under the glorious oak tree, reading my favourite book. All I can hear is the shrill sound of silence. Suddenly down jumps a squeaky squirrel its eyes as big and blue as the sky. I follow it wondering what it’s doing in its busy life. Amazingly I’m now wadding through the water at knee depth looking up at the squeaky squirrel. Down it drops an acorn on my head and I throw it back up into thin air. I’ve now lost the squirrel in my quest to follow it. Moments later I hear my parents calling me. I disappear back through the leafy curtains. All you hear is the shrill sound of silence again.
my morning
Today we had a meeting about band it was quite boring but we finally got through it. After the band meeting we got to do some finishing off. But I didn’t have any finishing off to do finally it was interval. At interval I went and played with my friends. After interval we had tech and had to go to the computer room with our design teacher. After an extrordinarily fun time it was lunchtime. Yippee!!!
School Again
Today school was okay I guess. We did heaps of maths and our cinderella unit. I went on the computer to do my homework vocab as well. Today we also had tech I finished my door thing and it can flash green, red and orange. We only have two more tech lessons to go because our teachers out this Friday and of course next Friday is EASTER!!!!

I have made it into Inter Itermediate touch and I’m going to face of against the whole of the waikato in week eight.
my book review
This book is about two girls called Rorie and Elsie that have to go to their Uncle’s school because their mum and dad are missing. A few weeks after they arrived they attempt to escape. They take an umbrella and their chameleon Arthur Clarkson. Very soon Rorie gets hit by lightning and that fails their first attempt. Rorie has to stay in the sick bay for days now. Finally after three long days Rories back to normal and her and Elsie try to figure another way of getting out and soon enough they’re in the car on their way to Nolita Newbuck’s to try and get some help finding their parents.
I think this book is a very good book by Fiona Dunbar. She did a brilliant job at getting people glued to the book at a early stage. In this book sometimes Elsie would speak babyish like saying hosipal instead of hospital and an’ would be like that. I reckon that if that Uncle Harris were real I’d stay away from him. I also think that it was right for Rorie and Elsie to run away but kind of naughty. Elsie was really bad at getting side tracked and loved dressing up. She would also follow complete strangers and always got in trouble. Rorie was a quite outgoing person and loved to explore, she thought the school was crummy and didn’t agree that there was only one right way like her Uncle. I think that the characters in this book are good characters for there part. There not people who don’t it in to the book. Uncle Harris is a grumpy old man who thinks a school should have better discipline and less play stuff. In there free time they have to do work and they have to do sport and chores everyday to keep up there energy. He reckons everyone can be perfect in some way and if they are he names them perfect. This book is based in the future. Overall I think this is a great book and I would give it a star rating of 10 out of 10.
school
Today school was kind off fun. We had to do maths reading kind off thing which was about Cinderella and finally PE. first we either played softball or squash then we swapped around. Seems we were playing them with room seven Mrs Hoes was doing squash and Mrs Crowe was doing softball. At lunch time the softball team won against room 12 woohooo.
