Ohope Camp 2008
Day 1
On Tuesday the 8/4/08 room three and seven went to Ohope camp. Our first stop was at Okatiana lake for lunch then for a bush walk over to the spit. It was very windy and everyone was cold. We soon headed back over to our cars and set of for Ohope.
We arrived at Ohope Cristian camp about an hour later. We unpacked our luggage and explored the camp. Soon it was afternoon tea time and we all went into the huge hall. In there was a piano and a game thing. Hayley and Patrick was great at playing the piano and heaps of people played Mary had a little lamb.
Later that night we went to the Aquatic pools and went on the hydro-slide. We also had a swim’ but most people went on the Hydro-slide. Soon we were going back to camp. We had pudding and went to bed lights out was at ten and even though the lights were out everyone didn’t go to sleep until way after.
Day 2
The next morning everyone got up at 7:00am to have breakfast. After breakfast room seven went off to do there day activities that included Kayaking, fishing off a wharf and a Shelly beach walk. We room three went to the high ropes course and it was pretty scary because I’m scared of hights. We also went to the Amazing maze ‘n’ maze. It was fun although I got lost. Soon we had to go back to camp and had some afternoon tea and went to the Aquatic pools again and went on the Hydro-slide again. We went back to camp and went to the hall to have dinner and desserts.
Day 3
We woke up at 7:00am the next mourning and had breakfast again. That day we went to Kayaking, fishing off the warf and walked over to shelly bay. Room seven went to do high ropes and the Amazing maze ’n’ maze.
First the group I was in went for the walk over to Shelly bay and got absolutly saterated. The next thing we did was fishing off the warf and I only caught one fish. The last thing we did was kayaking that day and it was great. I fell out of the boat two times and jumped out two times as well.
That day was great. We went to the hot pools that night and had a BBQ. It was only qyarter past seven when we went back to camp cause everyone was to cold.
When we got back to camp we talked in our cabins and at ten the lights went out.
Day 4
We got to sleep in the next day and we then tidied up and went to Te Puke for luch I had Subway. We went to a park for lunch and then headed off for T.A.I. When we got to school our parents picked us up. It was a fun camp and was really funny.
